Unfortunately, Mother Nature was not kind to us this year, and (despite all our snow dances!) it did not snow 6" or more on Christmas Day at the Portland International Jetport.

We appreciate our customers and communities for playing along with us and adding a little extra excitement to the holiday season. Together, we raised $7,500 for local organizations (Coats & Toys for Kids and SENH Habitat for Humanity), donated $8,000 to Coats for Kids, and collected countless coats and toys for the program.

Thank you for inviting Springer's to be a part of life's special moments, for a wonderful year, and an incredible holiday season.

How much does it need to snow, and where?

It must snow six inches (6”) or more at the Portland International Jetport (WBAN Station 14764) on December 25, 2019 between the hours of 12:01 am and 11:59 pm (24 hrs).

    Who measures the snow?

The official report provided by National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration, National Centers for Environmental Information, they will be the SOLE and EXCLUSIVE weather data relied upon in verifying snow accumulation. Its determination is final. Learn more about NOAA at their website here:

    What is a Qualifying Sale?

Qualifying Sales are purchases of merchandise made within the qualifying sales period excluding online sales, special order items, layaways that have not been paid in full and delivered, engraved items, altered items, or returned items.

    Are there any restrictions?

Online sales, special order items, engraved items, layaways that have not been paid in full and delivered, returned items, or altered items are not eligible for this promotion. Prizes will be awarded up to $10,000 per household. This promotion is void where prohibited by law.

    Are Gift Cards included?

Gift cards are not eligible for Let It Snow, but may be used as the payment method for a qualifying sale.

Do I need to make a purchase to participate in the promotion?

No purchase is necessary! You may also enter this Promotion by filling out an entry form during the qualifying sales period. Regardless of snowfall December 25, 2019, one entry from each Springer’s location will be randomly selected from all entries to win a Springer’s Jewelers Shopping Spree in the form of a Springer’s Jewelers Gift Card in the amount of $1,000. The winner will be drawn December 8, 2019. Winners will be notified by the Store location where they submitted their entry form via telephone.

Why do I need to sign a contract outlining qualifying sales?

The State of Maine requires that promotions such as Let it Snow be approved by the Gambling Control Unit. The purpose of the contract is to satisfy that requirement and establish that the Let it Snow promotion is not a game of chance by stipulating the qualifying purchases can be returned per Springer’s Jewelers’ return policy regardless of the outcome of the promotion.

When and how will I be notified if it has snowed enough?

NOAA will confirm snow accumulations on or before January 15, 2020. If NOAA has not published the official report by 1/15/20 Springer’s will extend the return policy on Eligible Purchases 10 days past when the report is published. Springer’s will notify qualifying customers via e-mail. This page is also a great place to stay informed, and will always be updated as we know more.

When and how can I submit my rebate?

Rebates can be submitted from January 26, 2020 - March 30, 2020 in the store where the eligible purchase was made.

Rebates must be submitted in person at the location in which the qualifying purchase was made. A receipt for the merchandise and a government issued picture will be required to verify the identity of the purchaser.

Why do I need to provide personal information to submit my rebate?

Government picture identification along with the sales receipt is required to verifying the identity of the winner. Prizes are not transferable.

Persons who claim a Prize in excess of $600 will be required to provide Springer’s with a completed IRS form W-9 and/or W-2G so that Springer’s can file a Form 1099 with the IRS and State taxing authorities as required by law.

Springer’s has from March 9, 2020 - May 30, 2020 to pay rebates paid by check sent via U.S. Mail to the address provided via the Springer’s Jewelers Claim Form.
