This elegant 26mm quartz watch joins Grand Seiko’s iconic 62GS collection, offering a discreetly sophisticated size while preserving the bold design language of the original model first introduced in 1967. The historic 62GS marked a milestone as Grand Seiko’s first automatic watch, and this modern reinterpretation honors that legacy with contemporary precision and refined artistry.
The dial captures the poetry of Japan’s changing seasons, evoking hana-ikada—the enchanting “flower raft” scene where cherry blossom petals drift across river surfaces in the spring breeze. A bezel-free construction gives the dial an expansive presence, while Zaratsu polishing creates a beautifully faceted stainless steel case with exceptional light play and clarity.
Despite its compact proportions, the design ensures excellent legibility, enhanced by symmetrically arranged diamonds that add a subtle brilliance to the dial. Powering the watch is the highly precise Quartz Caliber 4J51, delivering an impressive accuracy of ±10 seconds per year.
