This past weekend, Springer's Jewelers had the honor of sponsoring the MS is BS Gala, a fundraising event dedicated to supporting those affected by multiple sclerosis. The evening was a testament to the power of community and philanthropy, bringing together supporters, patients, and advocates in the fight against this challenging disease.
A Night to Remember at Moonlit Ridge Estates
Held at the elegant Moonlit Ridge Estates in Otisfield, Maine, the gala was a spectacular evening filled with inspiring stories, heartfelt speeches, and generous contributions. The event raised an impressive $63,340, showcasing the collective commitment to making a difference in the lives of those living with multiple sclerosis. As proud participants, Springer’s Jewelers was thrilled to join such a meaningful cause and contribute to the evening’s success.
A Sparkling Opportunity
This year's MS is BS Gala was truly a night to remember, not just for the cause it championed, but for the dazzling display of elegance and style. In celebration of relaunching the Hearts On Fire brand at Springer's Jewelers later this year, many of us had the pleasure of adorning ourselves with this exquisite pieces from the renowned designer.
The Hearts On Fire collection, known for its perfectly cut diamonds and breathtaking designs, added an extra layer of brilliance to our gala attire. Among the stunning pieces we showcased our selections from the Barre Collection, the Lu Collection and the Aerial Collection.
In the spirit of giving, Springer’s Jewelers also donated a $2,500 gift card to be auctioned off, a highlight that generated excitement among attendees. The lucky winner was Mori Lefevre! We are delighted to congratulate Mori and look forward to working together to select her next precious item!
Entertainment and Auctions
The gala featured both a silent and live auction, offering guests the chance to bid on a variety of exclusive items and experiences. These auctions played a crucial role in the fundraising efforts, contributing significantly to the total amount raised. Entertainment for the evening was top-notch, with the live band Doubting Gravity setting the perfect atmosphere with their music. Adding to the enhancement of the night, an aerial silk performer delighted guests with her acrobatics while serving champagne, creating a truly memorable experience.
A Personal Connection to the Cause
For Lilly and Zoe, the MS is BS Gala holds a deeply personal significance. They lived with their Aunt Susan, who had multiple sclerosis, for most of their lives. Before being diagnosed, Susan, along with their mother Nancy, were pioneers in the Portland, Maine community as the sister duo who established Dock Fore and ran the business for many years. Today, Lilly and Zoe are following in their mother and aunt’s footsteps, paving the way for new ideas in the Portland community as another dynamic sister duo.
Looking Forward
As we reflect on the gala, we are filled with gratitude for the opportunity to participate in such a worthy cause. The funds raised will go a long way in supporting research, treatment, and advocacy efforts for those battling multiple sclerosis. We extend our heartfelt thanks to the organizers for their incredible work and to everyone who attended and contributed to the night’s success. Thank you to everyone who made the MS is BS Gala at Moonlit Ridge Estates an unforgettable evening.
